Funeral services for Brenda Gail Belflower, 72, who died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Taylor Regional Hospital, will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ruth Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Born in Fulton County at Ft. McPherson Military Base, she was the daughter of the late William Kirby Smith, Sr. and Jether Moon Smith, and was the widow of Major Herman E. Belflower. Brenda was a 1962 graduate of Cochran High School and a member of Ruth Baptist Church. She was retired from Headquarters Salon, which she co-founded, and retired from Robins Air Force Base.

She is survived by her sons, Derek (Ella Ruth) Belflower of Cochran, Shannon (Christy) Belflower of Byron, and Craig (Marsha) Belflower of McDonough; six grandchildren, Ridge (Meagan), Eli, Dane, Hayden, Lydia, and Ethan; one great-grandchild, Aidan; brother, William Kirby Smith, Jr. of Cochran; and sisters, Kay Raffield and Faye Harrell, both of Cochran.

The family will be at the Belflower residence on Hudson Jones Road and will meet friends for an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Ruth Baptist Church, 216 Ruth Church Road, Cochran GA 31014.
